If you’re considering an autumn wedding… this If you’re considering an autumn wedding… this is your sign to come and see it for yourself. 🍁🍂

Arrowtown in autumn is something else. The colours, the light, the atmosphere… it’s hard to fully picture until you’re standing in it.

And from a planning point of view, this is one of the best times to visit Queenstown. Town is quieter than normal, and you can view venues in their autumn setting, walk through ceremony locations, and even meet your vendors face to face.

It turns ideas into real decisions… quickly.

And, if you’re in town mid-April, the 40th annual Arrowtown Autumn Festival is running 15–19 April… a pretty great time to plan a trip. 😉

One of the most common questions we get… is a he One of the most common questions we get… is a heli wedding worth it?

Short answer… it depends on what you value.

If you’re drawn to privacy, space, and a setting that feels completely separate from everything else, a Queenstown heli wedding can be a pretty special way to do it.

If you’d rather stay grounded and keep things simple, there are plenty of incredible locations that don’t require a flight.

There’s no right answer here… just what fits your day, your budget, and how you want it to feel.

That’s exactly what we help you figure out.
Thinking about a destination wedding? Here’s why Thinking about a destination wedding? Here’s why Queenstown works.

It’s not just about the views (although they’re hard to ignore).

It’s how everything comes together in one place.

• Everything is close, but still feels like an escape
You’re never far from your ceremony, reception, or accommodation… but it still feels like you’ve gone somewhere special.

• A huge range of venue options
From vineyards and lakeside settings to mountaintops and private villas… you’re not locked into one “style” of wedding.

• Suppliers who know destination weddings
Local vendors are used to working with couples planning from overseas, so communication, timelines, and logistics are handled properly.

• It works year-round
Each season brings something different… summer lakes, autumn colour, winter snow, spring freshness.

Queenstown is not only beautiful. It’s easy to build a full wedding experience around. And we'd love to help you do just that!

Flashback to the fabulous Nia & Shaun and their ic Flashback to the fabulous Nia & Shaun and their iconic summer wedding day late last year. We loved how their black & white colour scheme was a consistent thread throughout their day, even down to their custom matching Swarovski crystal jackets.

This is what happens when love meets style and a whole lot of heart.

Q: When should I apply for my New Zealand marriage Q: When should I apply for my New Zealand marriage licence?
A: You can apply as early as 3 months before your wedding date, but it must be submitted at least 3 working days before your ceremony, and once issued it’s valid for 3 months.

A marriage licence is your legal ticket to tying the knot here in Aotearoa, and getting the timing right helps keep everything on track.

Here’s the timing breakdown:
✔ Apply up to 3 months before your wedding
✔ Allow at least 3 working days before your ceremony for processing
✔ Your licence must be used within 3 months of issue — your wedding needs to fall in that window (source: www.weddingsnewzealand.com)

Your celebrant needs to receive the licence before the ceremony, and once you, your celebrant and your witnesses sign it on the day, you’re officially married under NZ law.

If you’ve got questions about the process (especially for overseas couples or celebrants), we’re here to help 🗓🤍
